Welcome to the Web site for the Indiana Council for Continuing Education, the premier professional association for Indiana’s continuing educators.
Under the outstanding leadership of past presidents like Ron White and Gary Schott, ICCE has provided professional development and networking opportunities for those dedicated to delivering high-quality continuing education programs and services across the Hoosier state.
Over the coming year, we will continue to build on that foundation and at the same time seek to increase our number of member institutions, especially among multicampus operations.
In addition, we will expand our efforts to provide research and to serve as advocates for the continuing education profession. To that end, the ICCE Board of Directors has appointed two task forces.
The advocacy task force will be headed by Becky Nickoli, vice president for workforce and economic development and grants administration at Ivy Tech and by Delaina Boyd, director of business development for the School of Continuing Education at Ball State University. It is charged with developing tools that will make it possible for member institutions to measure the quality and impact of their continuing education work.
The research task force will be headed by Khaula Murtahda of the IUPUI Community Learning Network and by Ron White, retired director of the Division of Continuing Studies at Indiana University Bloomington. It will identify issues, trends, and opportunities that should help member institutions increase services to both continuing education professionals and clients.
It promises to be an exciting year ahead, and I look forward to working with an ever-growing number of ICCE colleagues and member institutions. Please feel free to contact me at jobeeso@indiana.edu.
