The Indiana Council for Continuing Education (ICCE) was established in February 1975 with the following goals:
Establish closer relationships in continuing education between the public and private colleges and universities of the state.
Implement partnerships to provide comprehensive continuing education services throughout the state without unnecessary duplication of services.
Conduct joint research efforts necessary to fulfill effectively the mission of adult and continuing education.
Maximize the use of competencies and facilities of member institutions.
Encourage voluntary cooperative efforts among private and public institutions in meeting postsecondary degree needs through nontraditional programs.
Serve as a forum for considering program innovations of general interest.
Communicate with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education regarding cooperative relationships and efforts.
Provide the citizens of Indiana with information regarding the credit, noncredit, and customized training programs available through Indiana's colleges and universities.
Serve as a statewide advocate for nontraditional students.
Council Meetings
The council convenes three times a year—during the spring professional development conference, at the summer planning retreat, and at the fall summit.
